Review of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

       I spent years avoiding reading this book because I thought it was a drag. But last year, my sister was studying a simplified version, and I love reading so I started reading it one day while we were waiting for our dentist appointment. I loved it and the next day I went out and bought the original. I absolutley love it and I would reccomend it to anyone. Yes, the begining is a bit slow but it soon picks up speed and you can't help but fall in love with Jane. I reccomend this book to anyone.

       I've heard people talk about how depressing and horrible this novel is so I stayed away from it. I'd also seen an old movie adaptation of this and thought it was horrible! Then i decided to read - i found Mr Rochester to be fantastically dashing and funny as well as tortured. Jane was not a 'plain Jane' but self-assured despite her issues. What can i say (I'm no Roger Ebert) - I loved it!
