The Brothers Karamazov
by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Review of The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky
"Karamazov Brothers" is a novel by F.M. Dostoevsky that includes and presents all
Dostoevsky's ideas, views and outlook as a whole. It is regarded as "The Russian Bible" because it presents three different types of
men.According to Dostoevsky in our world there are three types of human beings- The devil-man, The natural-man and the Angel-man.The three
Brothers Karamazov are prototypes of those types of human beings. Dostoevsky says that the first one, the devil-man is the one who can
overcome his diabolic nature because of his will and free mind, the second one, the Natural man is very complecated and difficult to
predict and the Third one as he calls him "The strange man", is the one who is the real man, the one who is truly devoted to people's
happiness, in fact he is Christ himself. For me "Karamazov brothers" is maybe the greatest masterpiece about human nature ever written and
with it Dostoevsky has revealed the true nature of our society, of our souls, of way of life, in the past, in the present and in the
future!!!
