Review of The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway

        The old man and the sea can be read at 2 levels, it can be read as a story about a man battling a giant fish out in the ocean only to have it snatched away from him by sharks. Or it can be percieved as a story of man and his battle to understand God, and when you finally think that you understand him, life snatches your prize away. However you see this novella, it is a great book. I read it for the first time and didn't really understand it, but after giving it a second go around I realized what it was really about, and it just blew me away how brilliant ernest hemingway really was. Either way I can suggest this book enough.
